I am writing on behalf of the Maloof Foundation to express our strong support for the proposed partnership between the Maloof Foundation and the City of Rialto to apply for grant funding to conduct a Feasibility Study on Utilizing Tertiary Treated Water for Firefighting Services. This innovative project has the potential to bring significant benefits to our community and the environment, and we believe it aligns perfectly with the mission and values of both our organizations. services, represents a forward-thinking approach to water resource management and emergency response planning.

We are particularly excited about the potential positive outcomes of this study, including:

1. Enhanced Firefighting Capabilities: Utilizing tertiary treated water can potentially increase the availability of water resources for firefighting, which is crucial for ensuring the safety and security of our community.

2. Water Resource Sustainability: This project aligns with our foundation's goal of promoting sustainable water management practices and will convene a panel of elementary and high school teachers of STEM- related subjects and representatives of local Native communities to advise in the implementation of California Resilience education programs. The study may lead to the responsible and efficient use of water resources in emergency situations.
