0o0
Interim Finance Director Alvarado stated this is budgeted expenditures.
History shows that the actual expenditures reflect a lot less. It is prudent to have discussions and show projections. The reserves have increased and tell a different story. There are two issues with Amazon. They are enticed to close up and move their warehouses someplace else or share the revenue with other Cities such as Rancho Cucamonga suggests be done.
It’s important to monitor the numbers in the event of that happening.
It can greatly impact the revenue out of the City. It is also important to know the sales tax numbers coming from Renaissance Marketplace. 0o0

Interim Finance Director Alvarado continued with presentation: General Fund Revenues Sales Tax.
0o0
Council Member Trujillo commented that Rialto has a lot of development groundbreaking and housing incentives and asked how the City captures that data.
0o0

0o0

He believes they need to obtain the mid-year to figure out.

He does not want to go through a path of continually add ing more employees. Customer service is not improving. He asked what the plan for the GIS Administrator is, and why is it not being contracted versus having an employee. By adding one person, you add four more to them.
The City is getting bigger and does not see improvement.
He recommends examining each department to determine where reclassification is needed and where more people need to be added. 0o0
Mayor Pro Tem Carrizales agreed with Council Members’ comments.
He expressed his concerns with the lack of customer service being addressed. Other than the Fire Department, he has no information on how the departments will focus on improving their custom er service.
