RESOLUTION NO.7826
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RIALTO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 7818
AND AMENDING THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET
WHEREAS, the budget for fiscal year 20 21-2022 of the City of Rialto has been adopted by this Council in its original form, and said budget will need to be amended at times to fulfill the goals of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City departments may not exceed their appropriations by character of expense, with character of expense being defined as personnel services, services and supplies, capital outlay, debt service and transfers, without the consent of the City Manager; and WHEREAS, the City Manager may transfer appropriations, between departments and within their respective funds, as long as those appropriations do not exceed their fund total unless approved by Council; and
WHEREAS, on December 14, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 7818 transferring $3,000,000 from the General Fund 010 to the General Liability Fund 730, authorizing an increase in revenues of $3,000,000 in Account No. 730-400-2148-9010 and authorizing an increase in revenues of $250,000 in Account No. 730-400-2148-7710 for a total increase in revenues of $3,250,000; and WHEREAS, Resolution no. 7818 authorized an appropriation in the General Liability Fund in the amount of $1,150,000 in Account No. 730-500-2148-2011 leaving a balance of $2,100,000 to be appropriated at a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIALTO DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Resolution No. 7818 is hereby amended with Section 3 revised to read in its entirety as follows: “Authorize an appropriation to General Liability Fund, Account No. 730-500-2148- 2011 in the amount of $3,250,000 for anticipated settlements and expenses related to the fire at the Public Works building.
Section 2: The Fiscal Year 2021/2022 Budget is hereby amended to authorize a transfer in the amount of $589,860 from the General Fund unrestricted reserves for increased appropriations for DocuSign Envelope ID: AD2B5B0E-86C6-4102-905E-6097173EB70E

expenditures in the General Fund 010 in the following amounts and corresponding expenditure accounts as follows:
Account No. 010-500-1148-2011 increase appropriation in the amount of $436,860 for a new appropriation of $500,000.
Account No. 010-500-1149-2022 increase appropriations in the amount of $153,000 for a new appropriation of $300,000.
