CEW's are devices used by police officers to gain compliance of a suspect via the electrical stimulation of large muscle groups within the body causing temporary incapacitation.

TASER CEW's are solely manufactured by AXON Enterprise, Inc. and are not available from any other source.
3. Is the product or service available from other sources? No, it is not.
4. Can your requirements be modified so that competitive products or services may be used? Please explain:
No. AXON Enterprise, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of TASER CEW's and the only CEW system approved for use by the Rialto Police Department.

TASER Conducted Electrical Weapons (CEW's) are solely manufactured by AXON Enterprise, Inc. TASER CEW's are the only systems currently approved for use pursuant to existing Rialto Police Department policy and current training standards. The devices contain technological advancements including extended battery life, updated measurement and calibration of electrical charge energy pulses, and advanced data recording capabilities in three components, including operator actions, electrical output logs, and engineering maintenance logs. Additionally, the TASER CEW is small enough to be worn on an officer's duty belt, and is readily accessible when needed. TASER CEW's are considered "industry standard" in the Law Enforcement community.
