Three food vendors responded to the Request for Proposal 25-041 to lease and operate a café at the John Longville Depot; Everytable, Nine Eight Five Coffee, and Grizzy Grub. Operators for the three companies made presentations to the Committee, who were split between Everytable and Nine Eight Five Coffee. Those two businesses will be asked to make a final presentation to City Council, who will make the final decision as to which company is awarded the lease.

Update on the Locust Gateway Development Project
Presented by Daniel Casey
Committee Comments/Questions/Recommendations:
Daniel Casey gave a brief description of the project attributes. He let the Committee know that an EIR has recently been circulated for public review. Mayor Pro Tem Scott inquired about labor agreements and gave staff direction to ensure that labor agreements are being utilized on this project. Mayor Baca also requested that a community benefit agreement and labor agreement be in place for this project.
EDC-25-0643
Temporary Use Permit (TUP) Ordinance
Presented by Sandra Robles
Committee Comments/Questions/Recommendations:
Sandra Robles gave a presentation regarding setting up a new ordinance for Temporary Use Permits (TUP’s). The suggested ordinance would divide the TUP’s into two types; major and minor. Ms. Robles went over what would trigger a major TUP vs. a minor TUP. After listening to the presentation, Mayor Pro Tem Scott asked that staff not go any further until they engage the business community for their input.
EDC-25-0640
Amendment to the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Ordinance Presented by Sandra Robles
Committee Comments/Questions/Recommendations:
Sandra Robles went over changes to the current ADU ordinance and gave the reasoning behind the update. With the new updates, the City will be able to add items that the State is silent on. Mayor Pro Tem Scott wanted to ensure that Code Enforcement is a part of the discussion and asked for the item to be moved to a future meeting so that Code Enforcement can be present.
