Public Hearing Notice
2025 San Bernardino Valley Regional Urban Water Management Plan and City of Rialto Water Shortage Contingency Plan
Notice is hereby given that on June 23, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. in the City of Rialto City Hall Chambers, 150 S.
Palm Avenue, Rialto, CA 92376, the City Council/Rialto Utility Authority Board will conduct a public hearing to receive public comments and consider adoption of the Draft 2025 San Bernardino Valley Regional Urban Water Management Plan (2025 RUWMP) and the City of Rialto’s Draft Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP). Following the public hearing, the City of Rialto’s City Council/Rialto Utility Authority Board may adopt the Draft 2025 RUWMP and Draft WSCP with recommended modifications, if any, as a result of public input.
The Draft 202 5 RU WMP provides a comprehensive description of the San Bernardino Valley water resources and documents City of Rialto’s plans to ensure adequate water supplies to meet existing and future demands under a range of water supply conditions, including water shortages. The Draft WSCP documents City of Rialto’s plans to manage and mitigate an actual water shortage condition, should one occur because of drought or other impacts on water supplies.
A copy of the Draft 202 5 RUWMP and Draft WSCP be available for public review beginning in May 2026 and can be downloaded or viewed at https://www.rialtoca.gov/331/Utilities-Department. Please contact the City of Rialto if you require special accommodation.
Please provide written comments on the Draft 2025 RUWMP documents to the City of Rialto/Rialto Utility Authority at 150 S. Palm Avenue, Rialto, CA 92376. prior to June 23, 2026.
