○ Selective demolition
○ Initial underground work.
Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
● Project description:
○ This project deploys an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) network to upgrade ~12,000 water meters, transitioning the system from manual to automated monthly readings. The scope includes retrofitting existing AMI-ready meters, replacing the remaining units, and integrating a new Meter Data Management (MDM) system with billing and customer portals. This upgrade drives operational efficiency.
● Delivery method: Design-Build
○ Aqua Metric: Prime contractor. Concord Utility Services: Installation ● Status:
○ Site Survey: sucessfully completed wtihout any cost or schdule issues revelaed. ○ The project team is currently working on the integration plans in anticipation of mass deployment.
● Next steps:
○ Mass deployment, installation of new meters, retrofit of existing, etc.

Sycamore Sewer Trunk Line Project
● Project description:
○ The goal of this project is to upsize the City of Rialto's sewer main on Sycamore Avenue to accommodate current and future housing growth. Driven by rapid residential development to the north, this immediate upgrade provides relief to the existing 8-inch line nearing maximum capacity to prevent system failure. This work marks Phase 2 of a three-phase master plan to systematically modernize the city’s sewer trunk network by installing approximately 5,200 lf of dedicated 15-inch sewer trunk main, extending south from the Sycamore Sewer Lift Station down Sycamore Avenue to Baseline Road, where it will connect with the Phase 1 project. ● Delivery method: Design-Bid-Build
○ Provost and Pritchard: designer and engineer of record ○ Ferreira Construction: General contractor
Sycamore Sewer Trunk Line Project
● Status:
○ Procurement and contracting: 100% complete
○ Mobilization, potholing and staking: currently ongoing ● Next steps:
○ Finish mobilizing and start the installation of the new line.
Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) Station
● Project description:
○ The City of Rialto is enhancing its water system by installing two new 2,000 gpm Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) stations along Merrill Avenue to optimize pressure management between Zones 2 and 3A.
● Delivery method: Design-Build
○ Design engineer and general contractor: TBD
● Status: RFP
○ The project was published in Planetbids on: 4/26/2026 ○ Two bids were received on: 6/12/2026
■ Apparent low bidder is Ferreira Construction with a cost of $1,156,500. Total project cost of $1,387,800 that includes the 20% fee. *Bid evaluation is currently ongoing ■ This is considerably higher than the initial cost estiamte of $750 K plus ● Next steps:
○ Finish procurement and present FCWA for approval.
