STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Actions are required to update, and make current, the
appointment roster of the Economic Development
Commission. There are 15 seats on this commission, of
which one is vacant.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:

APPROVE appointment(s) to the Economic Development
Commission; APPOINT Andrea Portillo-Knowles, new
appointment, seat #15, term expiration date March 30,
2022 – Office of the Mayor (Mayor Tom Butt 510-620-
6503).
DISCUSSION: On September 8, 2020, Andrew Perroy was appointed to seat #15 on the Economic Development Commission and resigned from his seat on March 10, 2021.

Ms. Portillo-Knowles is the Executive Director of the Richmond Main Street Initiative.
Her term will expire on March 30, 2022.
