RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE SOUTH 37TH STREET UNDERPASS TO JUNETEENTH FREEDOM UNDERPASS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richmond, California as follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Richmond to change the name of the South 37th Street Underpass on South 37th Street between the streets of Chanslor Avenue and Ohio Avenue to Juneteenth Freedom Underpass as shown on Attachment 2.
Section 2. That Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter, as the matter can be heard and will be held via Zoom video conference and by toll-free teleconference call. All persons interested in or objecting to the proposed renaming of said underpass may attend the public hearing online or by toll-free teleconference call, or, prior to the time of the hearing, submit written comments.
Section 3. That the City Council staff is hereby instructed to: (1) mail the notice of a hearing to property owners and properties on South 37th Street between Chanslor Avenue and Ohio Avenue.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to: (1) cause to be posted conspicuously along South 37th Street between Chanslor Avenue and Ohio Avenue at least three (3) copies of this Resolution; and (2) cause to be printed and published in the West County Times, the notice of the Public Hearing at least ten (10) days before said hearing.
I certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Richmond at a regular meeting held on February 1, 2022, by the following vote:
