STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Actions are required to update, and make current, the
appointment roster of the Richmond-Zhoushan Sister
City Commission. There are 11 seats on the commission,
of which 4 are currently vacant.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:

APPROVE appointment(s) to the Richmond-Zhoushan
Sister City Commission; APPOINT Ed Medina, new
appointment, seat #7, term expiration date December 31, 2024; Jason Tran, new appointment, seat #9, term
expiration date December 31, 2024 – Office of the Mayor (Mayor Tom Butt 510-620-6503).

DISCUSSION:
The following individual(s) are being appointed to the commission:
Ed Medina is being appointed to seat #7 for his first term on the Richmond-Zhoushan Friendship Commission. Mr. Medina is a retired Police Chief for Richmond PD. His term will expire December 31, 2024.
Jason Tran is being appointed to seat #9 for his first term on the Richmond-Zhoushan Friendship Commission. Mr. Tran is employed as an architect. His term will expire December 31, 2024.
