AGENDA
REPORT
April 19, 2022
DISCUSSION:
The Ridgeline Property Group Developers worked with the Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC) in 2021 to solicit and select a local artist to commission an Osprey Bird sculpture. After using a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and a Request for Proposals (RFP), the Developer and PAAC selected Scientific Art Studio for the contract award of $65,000. After completing the Concept Design phase of the contract, it was determined that the scale needed to be double the size, and the budget needed to be increased to $85,000. The Developer increased the In-Lieu of Contribution by adding $20,000 to the Public Art Percent for Art Fund to complete the project.
City staff is requesting to increase the contract by $20,000 while maintaining the original term expiration of December 2022.
