empowerment to those impacted by the criminal legal system. They are invested in building a base of power at the political, social and economic levels of the formerly incarcerated persons across the state of California, addressing the root causes of poverty and the impact that the criminal justice system has had on black people and communities of color.

The SRP includes collaborative programming such as the Collective Impact Leadership Institute, a 4-week political education course, the Richmond Power Coalition, and the Local Organizing Committee.

Through the work and collaborations of SRP, thousands of individuals impacted by the criminal justice system have been supported in their journeys to rebuilding their lives by breaking through barriers, civic engagement, forming productive relationships and obtaining marketable skills.

The City of Richmond recognizes the dedication and hard work of the SRP. This proclamation acknowledges the work of the SRP and congratulates the organization on a job well done.
