DISCUSSION:
The Fleet Maintenance Division requires repairs be made to a Elgin sweeper used by the Streets division that cannot be completed by Fleet Maintenance staff. The sweeper has damage to the rear broom area and is currently inoperable. The timeline for repairs is approximately one week after receiving a completed purchase order.
Owen Equipment is the only authorized dealer in Northern California for parts and service repairs to Vactor/Elgin equipment. A Sole Source Justification Form has previously been approved by the Finance Department.
