DISCUSSION:

The Literacy for Every Adult Program (LEAP) was awarded additional grant funds of $4,000 from Share the Spirit East Bay, a project of the Bay Area News Group – East Bay Times. Share the Spirit has been helping East Bay communities for nearly three decades. Grants are awarded annually as Share the Spirit is created with gifts from generous people committed to local causes, many of them East Bay Times readers.

Thanks to this grant award, LEAP will be able to support civic engagement in the community by teaching residents civic engagement strategies.
