A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND AND
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY
OF RICHMOND (RHA) APPROVING A FIRST CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH
ANTHONY MA TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE RICHMOND HOUSING AUTHORITY IN THE AMOUNT OF $90,000 FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $100,000 AND EXTENDING THE TERM TO JUNE 30, 2023
WHEREAS, RHA’s programs are funded by the federal government, subject to the rules and guidelines of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and
WHEREAS, RHA’s mission is to provide decent, safe, and sanitary affordable housing and coordinate supportive services for low-income residents and program participants of the City of Richmond; and
WHEREAS, RHA administers the Low Rent Public Housing Program, and administers the Capital Fund Grant Modernization Program to fund rehabilitation activity on its existing public housing stock; and
WHEREAS, the RHA and City of Richmond have an immediate need for a qualified Public Housing financial services consultant to complete all audits and incomplete IRS tasks; and
WHEREAS, RHA and City s taff is recommending approv al of a consulting contract with Public Housing financial expert, Anthony M a, for mer Oakland Housing Authority (OHA) Finance Director .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND AND THE MEMBERS OF
THE RICHMOND CITY COUNCIL, COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, approve a first contract amendment wit h Anthony Ma to provide financial consulting services (including Federal, State and IRS Audits) for the Richmond Housing Authority in the amount of $90,000 for a total amount not to exceed $100,000 and extending the term to June 30, 2023.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Executive Director and City Manager is authorized to take all actions necessary to implement the foregoing resolution.
