RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA FOR AUTHORIZATION TO ACCEPT AND
APPROPRIATE THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMEN T OF
TRANSPORTATION CLEAN CALIFORNIA LOCAL GRA NT
PROGRAM FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $4,999,955 FOR THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD: C LEAN, GREEN, AND BEA UTIFUL
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation (“State”) issued a Notice of Funding Availability (“NOFA”) on December 1, 2021 for the California Department of Transportation Clean California Local Grant (“Clean California”) grant funds to benefit low income residents or communities of California; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, as a municipal corporation and a charter city, applied and was awarded the Clean California grant for the Yellow Brick Road:
Clean, Green, and Beautiful Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond has received and accepted the Agenda Report regarding this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Richmond finds the above recitals accurate and have s erved together with the Agenda Report as the basis for the findings and approvals set forth in this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City of Richmond hereby agrees to use the Clean California funds for eligible activities in the manner presented in the application as approved by the State and in accordance with Program Regulations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the City Council authorizes the City Manager or their designee to execute in the name of the City of Richmond, the Grant Agreement, and all other documents required by the State for participation in the Clean California Program, and any amendments thereto and accept and appropriate the grant funds.
