RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING DONATIONS PROVIDED BY THE PEMA CHODRON FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond’s Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) desires to receive donations provided by the Pema Chodron Foundation (PCF) totaling $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the ONS will provide violence intervention, prevention, and suppression activities a n d services through the donations from PCF in an effort to reduce violence through evidence-based programs and activities; and
WHEREAS, the donations from PCF will provide general support for the ONS Operation Peacemaker Fellowship supported by ONS street outreach efforts; and
WHEREAS, the donation received hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Richmond City Council accepts and appropriates the $10,000 in donations from PCF for use by ONS.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Richmond and ONS gratefully accepts these donations from the Pema Chodron Foundation (PCF).
