AGENDA
REPORT
February 21, 2023
DISCUSSION:
The City of Richmond has contracted with GovernmentJobs.com dba NEOGOV (NEOGOV) for over a decade to provide for online recruitment and application processing using the NEOGOV Insight’s Enterprise Software module. NEOGOV Insight is a fully integrated recruitment, selection, and applicant tracking system designed specifically for public sector employers where opportunities are advertised, and applications are completed, stored, and shared with hiring managers. NEOGOV is an industry leader for applicant tracking systems in the public sector with over 6,000 clients nationwide. GovernmentJobs.com is an online public sector job board where candidates throughout the country can locate and apply for open positions.
The City of Richmond’s Human Resources Department’s use of NEOGOV has allowed it to streamline the recruitment, selection, and tracking of applicants. City job opportunities are posted on their web-based portal, and job applicants can complete the entire application process online. The Insight system is used for the automation of recruitment, selection, applicant tracking, and reporting and analysis. The subscription to GovernmentJobs.com, specifically for public sector job announcements, gives the City of Richmond greater exposure to the talent pool throughout California and the United States and facilitates the attraction of more qualified public sector job applicants.
City staff is requesting approval of the contract to purchase a new subscription to NEOGOV Insight Enterprise and to GovernmentJobs.com for a period of three years (January 28, 2023 through January 27, 2026) and for a total cost amount not to exceed $50,984.65.
