Work Experience / Volunteer Experience:From a young age I have been exposed to several organizations that my parents have been affiliated with. I have a vast knowledge of groups/organizations in Richmond. I have also assisted in the meetings which they attended with those said organizations and continue to attend those meetings. I have helped set up tables to spread information about varying topics and also serve as a translator of sorts to help facilitate communication both at the meetings and said tables. I also attend two clubs at my school. I attend both the Freshman Committee and a club called Raices. In the Freshman Committee I serve as secretary to help fundraise money and coordinate activities for the whole grade. In Raices I hope to be able to help my peers take pride in their Hispanic and/or Latin roots and to spread awareness about the culture that both I and several of my other peers share. By serving in both of these clubs I hope to be able to create both a healthy environment and culture schoolwide.
