STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Sara Cantor, Tomasa Espinoza, and Karina Guadalupe
are applying for open positions on the Rent Board
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPOINT Sara Cantor, Tomasa Espinoza, and Karina
Guadalupe to the Rent Board to fill three open positions with a term ending March 21, 2025 - Mayor’s Office
(Mayor Eduardo Martinez 510-620-6503).

DISCUSSION:
Sara has experience in processing and analyzing complex ordinances and regulations that would add great value to the Rent board. She has both been a renter and a tenant in the past.
Tomasa is a nineteen-year resident of the City of Richmond and a community volunteer.
Tomasa is a member of the West County Regional Group and also Richmond Land.
Tomasa brings real world experience as a renter to the group.
Karina is a 20 plus year resident of Richmond who is also a renter. Karina would bring a voice that represents a large majority of the renter in Richmond and would be a great advocate on their behalf
