A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND
APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE CITY OF
RICHMOND AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS (IAFF) LOCAL 188.
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 188 had a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) covering the period July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2022; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code Section 3505., the City’s negotiation team met and conferred in good faith with representatives of IAFF Local 188 to negotiate a successor agreement; and
WHEREAS, the IAFF Local 188 Memorandum of Understanding shall not bind the parties until it is ratified by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Richmond as follows:
Section 1. That the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Richmond and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 188 for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025, as provided in the attached Exhibit 1 and herein incorporated by reference is approved; and
Section 2. That the City Manager or their designee is directed to update the publicly available salary schedule with the adopted wage increases during the terms of the MOU
