Subject: Additional objectives under #5 & #6
Good morning Henry, Shasa and bcc Council,
I am hoping to add the following objectives to priorities #3, #5 & #6:
Priority #3 - Public Safety
Create and implement a wildfire safety plan for all high fire areas of the city including inclusion of capital projects in the CIP Budget even if they are currently unfunded
Priority #5 - Improve City Staffing, Infrastructure and Processes Complete all audit requirements so that the City can be removed from the audit list
Create a plan to resolve or bring under fiscal control unfunded liabilities
Create a plan to reach the desired funding level for the pavement index over a 5 year term
Reduce data entry by moving all departments to digital data entry wherever possible
Create a plan to reduce overtime and eliminate the need for mandatory overtime in our public safety departments
Investigate and reduce the cost of risk management over a 3 year term
Include all CIP projects reasonably expected to be moved on in the next 5 years in the CIP Budget even if they are currently unfunded and reformatting of CIP Budget to clearly represent full expected costs of each project as well as amount spent to date and amount needed in the near and longer term to
complete the project
Priority #6 - Shoreline and Ecology
Create and implement a plan to transition fleet and fleet infrastructure to zero emission vehicles using electric vehicles whenever possible by the state deadline
Examine the impact of distribution centers on public health and then use information to adjust zoning to protect sensitive receptors (seniors, children, hospitals, clinics, etc) from increased exposure by using Green zones or other tools to create a reduced point sources pollution area around sensitive sites
Can we add these items to the lists?
Hopeful,
CM Robinson
