STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
The Mayor is responsible for the appointment of Council members to Regional Committees, Ad Hoc Committees,
and Liaison positions to City Boards and Commissions.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPROVE the proposed list of 2023 Boards and
Commissions Council liaisons, four ad hoc committees
and Councilmembers to regional committees - Mayor’s

DISCUSSION:
The Mayor is responsible for the appointment of Councilmembers to regional committees, City ad hoc committees, and Council liaisons to City boards and AGENDA

commissions. The proposed list includes a list of all Councilmember liaisons to all City boards and commissions. It also seeks the approval of four newly-created ad hoc committees — the Municipal Wastewater Oversight Ad Hoc Committee, Evaluation Ad Hoc Committee, and the Pt. Molate/Campus Bay Ad Hoc Committee, Measure U Ad Hoc Committee — as well as their respective City Council appointees. Finally, the list appoints specific Richmond Councilmembers to regional boards and includes alternates.
