DISCUSSION:
In December 2022, the City Council approved a $525,000 contract with the Richmond Community Foundation to administer the City’s Housing First and Emergency Short- term Housing Assistance Programs. All funds have since been expended or committed; therefore, City staff is seeking City Council authorization for a contract amendment No. 1 to add $625,084.80 in additional funds for these programs.
The Housing First program was able to assist 16 households with care management services and rent assistance that will last up to December 31, 2023.
