STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Janet Flint is applying for a vacant seat on the Urban
Forest Advisory Committee and Mayor Martinez is
seeking City Council authorization for her appointment.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPOINT Janet Flint to the Urban Forest Advisory
Committee with a term that expires on November 17,
2026 – Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo Martinez 510-
620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Janet Flint has a passion for nature that is exhibited by her participation in the Sierra Club. She is also a supporter of Golden Gate Audubon, Homegrown National Parks, AGENDA

National Wildlife Federation and Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour in the San Francisco East Bay. Janet’s passion for the greening of Richmond will serve as an asset to the Urban Forest Advisory Committee.
