AGENDA
REPORT
September 26, 2023
In 2015, the Public Works Department leased storage space for equipment only at a cost of $1,312.50 per month at 2801 Giant Road. The proximity to the Hilltop District, has greatly improved the efficiency of the unit by reducing the travel time associated with transporting equipment from the Parks Yard on Leona Avenue to the Hilltop area, thus, enabling City staff to spend more time in the field.
In April 2019, Parks Operations had to vacate the office trailer in the parking lot at Hilltop Mall. Parks Operations sought additional space and now occupy two office trailers at the storage yard at 2801 Giant Road. City staff is seeking approval to continue with the month-to-month lease agreement. The new monthly payment for this lease will be $2,702.44 per month which includes the equipment storage space and two office trailers. The expense will be paid from the fiscal year 2023-2024 Hilltop Maintenance District Operational Fund.
City staff recommends approval of a Lease Agreement Addendum #6.
