RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE CITY’S POSITION CONTROL LIST
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IV Section 1(b)(1) of the City Charter, the City Manager has the responsibility to manage all affairs of the City's operations, and appoint employees when necessary for the good service of the City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Resolution No. 148-20, the City Manager has the authority to make appropriate administrative changes to the City’s position control list; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that certain amendments to the position control list are necessary to meet the operational needs of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Richmond City Council authorizes the City Manager to modify the position control in order to meet the operational needs of the City; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, effective October 17, 2023, the City’s position control is hereby revised to add the following positions:
Classification Department Bargain Group
Add 1 Senior Management Analyst
or Management Analyst I/II Department for Children and Youth IFPTE Local 21- Mid Management Add 1 Management Analyst I/II Grants Division IFPTE Local 21- Mid Management Add 1 Senior Civil Engineer Engineering IFPTE Local 21 – Mid- Management
Add 1 Groundskeeper/Gardener Parks Division SEIU Local 1021 – General Employees
Add 1 Parking Enforcement
Representative Police Department SEIU Local 1021 – General Employees
Add 1 Police Officer Police Department RPOA – Richmond Police Officers Association
Add 1 Police Lieutenant Police Department RPMA – Richmond Police Management Association
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, effective October 17, 2023, the City’s position control is hereby revised to delete the following positions:
Classification Department Bargain Group
Delete 1 Gardener Parks Division SEIU Local 1021 – General Employees
Delete 1 Police Trainee (Exempt) Police Department Exempt
