RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING THE GRANT AWARD
PROVIDED BY THE CHEVRON COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,000
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond’s Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) desires to receive grant funds provided by the Chevron Community Engagement Foundation; and
WHEREAS, ONS will provide violence intervention, prevention, and suppression activities services through the Chevron Community Engagement Foundation grant funds as part of its effort to reduce violence through evidence-based programs and activities.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council accepts and appropriates the grant award from the Chevron Community Engagement Foundation in the amount of $35,000 to provide general and emergency support for the ONS Operation Peacemaker Fellowship supported by ONS street outreach efforts.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ONS agrees to all terms required by the Chevron Community Engagement Foundation to fulfill the obligations of this grant award.
