STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Deputy Executive Director Brad Paul of Metropolitan
Transportation Commission (MTC) has agreed to provide
an update on MTC and ABAG.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: RECEIVE a presentation from Bay Area Metro Group on Local Governments Services through Metropolitan
Transportation Commission (MTC) and the Association of
Bay Area Government (ABAG) - Councilmember Soheila
Bana (510-672-3490). This item was continued from
the September 19, 2023, meeting.
DISCUSSION:
Deputy Executive Director Brad Paul of MTC/ABAG will provide an overview of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and the Association of Bay Area AGENDA

The deputy director will discuss the genesis of both agencies, the merger of the two agencies, who is on the respective boards and the services they provide to the nine Bay Area counties. The presentation will also include the 2050 Bay Area Plan Vision scope, themes and strategies, potential measures in 2024 and more.
