RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE CITY’S POSITION CONTROL LIST
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IV Section 1(b)(1) of the City Charter, the City Manager has the responsibility to manage all affairs of the City's operations, and appoint employees when necessary for the good service of the City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Resolution No. 148-20, the City Manager has the authority to make appropriate administrative changes to the City’s position control list; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that certain amendments to the position control list are necessary to meet the operational needs of the City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Richmond City Council authorizes the City Manager to modify the position control in order to meet the operational needs of the City; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, effective October 24, 2023, the City’s position control is hereby revised to add the following positions:
Classification Department Unit
2 - Compliance Specialist Rent Program SEIU General Employees 1 – Registration Specialist Community Services/Recreation SEIU General Employees 1 – Circulation Supervisor Community Services/Library Local 21 Mid Management 1 – Finance Manager II Community Services/Admin Local 21 Mid Management 1 – Executive Assistant I Office of the Mayor SEIU General Employees 1 – Director of Community
Services Employment & Training Local 21 Executive Unit
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, effective October 24, 2023, the City’s position control is hereby revised to delete the following positions:
Classification Department Unit
2 – Administrative Aide Rent Program SEIU General Employees 1 – Office Specialist Community Services/Recreation SEIU General Employees 1 – Administrative Services
Analyst Community Services/Library Local 21 Mid Management 1 – Finance Manager Community Services/Admin Local 21 Mid Management 1 – Secretary to the Mayor Office of the Mayor SEIU General Employees 1 – Library and Community
Services Director Employment & Training Local 21 Executive Unit
