Subject: Consumer Price Index adjustments to items in the Port of Richmond’s Tariff No. 3
Proposal: Implement rate amendments
CPI-U: 6.2% increase, per Bureau of Labor Statistics, West Region Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U).
The City of Richmond operates various terminal facilities at the Port of Richmond it is desirable to amend the Port of Richmond Terminal Tariff FMC No. 3 by implementing a 6.2% tariff rate increase (General Rate Increase), effective July 1, 2023.
Justification:
Rate increases keep the Port of Richmond current with annual CPI-U, this item is important to bill tariff fees appropriately and have supportive documentation. This item will be going to the Richmond City Council in July 2023.
