RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE CITY’S POSITION CONTROL LIST
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IV Section 1(b)(1) of the City Charter, the City Manager has the responsibility to manage all affairs of the City's operations, and appoint employees when necessary for the good service of the City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Resolution No. 148-20, the City Manager has the authority to make appropriate administrative changes to the City’s position control list; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that certain amendments to the position control list are necessary to meet the operational needs of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Richmond City Council authorizes the City Manager to modify the position control in order to meet the operational needs of the City; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, effective November 28, 2023, the City’s position control is hereby revised to add the following positions:
Classification Department Bargaining Group
Add 4 Firefighters Fire Department Local 188
Add 1 Principal Planner Community Development - Planning IFPTE Local 21- Mid-Management Add 1 Business License Specialist Finance Department SEIU Local 1021 – General Employees
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, effective November 28, 2023, the City’s position control is hereby revised to delete the following positions:
Classification Department Bargaining Group
Delete 1 Senior Planner Community Development - Planning IFPTE Local 21 – Mid- Management
Delete 1 Business License Field
Investigator Finance Department SEIU Local 1021 – General Employees
