STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Virginia Jourdan is applying for a vacant seat on the
Richmond Arts and Culture Commission
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPOINT Virginia Jourdan to an unexpired term in the
Richmond Arts and Culture Commission, Term Expires
June 19, 2025 – Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo Martinez
510-620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Virginia has a passion for the arts, especially public art. In the past, she has led and participated in efforts to beautify neighborhoods with art. She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and is a member of the Art of the African Diaspora steering committee. She hopes to bring her experience, optimism, and vision to the Richmond Arts and Culture Commission.
