STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Ethan Rayner is applying for a vacant seat on the Urban Forest Advisory Committee.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPOINT Ethan Rayner to the Urban Forest Advisory
Committee with a term that expires on November 17,
2026 – Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo Martinez 510-
620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Ethan Rayner is a certified California naturalist from the UC Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources. He currently works in habitat restoration, which highlights his knowledge and experience in this field. Ethan is a member of the California Native Plant Society and Friends of the Regional Parks, which underscores his passion and commitment to the urban environment.
