A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND
APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE CITY OF
RICHMOND AND THE RICHMOND POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond and the Richmond Police Management Association (RPMA) had a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) covering the period January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code Section 3505., the City’s negotiation team met and conferred in good faith with representatives of RPMA to negotiate a successor agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties reached a Tentative Agreement for a successor MOU for the period of January 1, 2023 though December 31, 2025, which was ratified by the membership of RPMA, and adopted by the City Council via Resolution No. 107-23.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Richmond as follows:
Section 1. That the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Richmond and the Richmond Police Management Association (RPMA) for the period of January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2025 as provided in the attached Exhibit 1 and herein incorporated by reference is approved; and
Section 2. Directs the City Manager or their designee to update the publicly available salary schedule with the adopted wage increases during the terms of the MOU.
