RESOLUTION NO. xx-23
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE ALLOCATION AND APPROPRIATION OF MEASURE J FUNDS (FUND 2002) IN THE AMOUNT OF $241,000 FOR THE COMPLETION OF DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION FOR THE 6TH STREET AND
MACDONALD AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, traffic signal at 6th Street and MacDonald Avenue intersection is currently in flash mode, necessitating urgent repair and upgrade to ensure optimal operations and smooth traffic flow; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council allocate and appropriate Measure J funds (Fund 2002) in the amount of $241,000 for the completion of the design and construction of the 6th Street and Macdonald Avenue Traffic Signal Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, staff proposes to retain CSW|ST2, from its On-Call Contract, for the design of the 6th Street and Macdonald Avenue Traffic Signal Improvement Project in the amount of $25,000; and
WHEREAS, staff proposes to select NEMA Construction, from its As-Needed Contract, for the construction of the 6th Street and Macdonald Avenue Traffic Signal Improvement Project in the amount of $216,000 (which includes a contingency of $36,180); and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council finds the above recitals are true and correct and have served, together with the Agenda Report, as the basis for the findings and actions set forth in this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council allocate and appropriate Measure J funds (Fund 2002) in the amount of $241,000 for the completion of the design and construction of the 6th Street and Macdonald Avenue Traffic Signal Improvement Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council designates the City Clerk as the custodian of the documents and other materials which constitute the record of proceedings upon which the decision herein is based. These documents may be found at the office of the City Clerk at the Richmond City Hall, 450 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond, California 94804.
