STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Gay Timmons is applying for a vacant seat with an
unexpired term. Alexander Golovets is applying for a seat with an expired term.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPOINT Gay Timmons to the Planning Commission
with a term expiring on June 30, 2024; and APPOINT
Alexander Golovets to the Richmond Planning
Commission with a term expiring on June 30, 2026 –

DISCUSSION:
Gay Timmons’ application for the Planning Commission is driven by a lifelong connection to the Bay Area and a commitment to community service, inspired by her family's involvement in public health. With expertise in sustainability, anthropology, and physiology, she aims to address the impact of development on community health. Her experience as a local homeowner and business owner provides a practical perspective on Richmond's urban challenges. Gay is being appointed to a vacant seat. Once the previous seat’s term is completed, Gay will have the opportunity to re-apply for another term.
