On behalf of the City of Richmond, California, we extend our deepest congratulations to the Richmond Steelers U9 Football Team for their exemplary achievements, culminating in their triumph as National Champions on December 15, 2023, with a notable victory score of 13 -8, in addition to being crowned League and Regional Champions. This series of victories has not only showcased the team's dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit but has also brought great pride and recognition to our community. We extend our gratitude to the coaches and parents , whose guidance and support have been instrumental in nurturing the talents and sportsmanship of these young athletes. The mayor, city council, and the citizens of Richmond stand united in celebrating the accomplishments of these young stars, who exemplify the very best of our community's values of perseverance and excellence.
