ESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND
"ALIFORNIA, IN SUPPORT OF THE BAY TRAI
WHEREAS, in 1999 the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) adopted a plan for a biking and hiking route that would circle San Francisco and San Pablo bays, WHEREAS, the plan for this route--which became known as the Bay Trail was :
WHEREAS, according to the plan, the Bay Trail, when complete, will be a pontinous 40 mie in did bichmori and harost mair in Bad are cureson; WHEREAS, to date, half the ultimate length of the Bay Trail has been developed, with many popular segments existing that provide inexpensive recreation, exercise and sightseeing opportunities; offer a transportation alternative; serve as a setting for environmental education and wildlife viewing; and increase access to the outdoors, the Bay NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Richmond endorses the Bay Trail Plan.
