The City of Richmond received a $750,000 grant from the State of California to support the "Local Government: Connecting Neighbor to Neighbors" initiative aimed at combating community isolation, boosting volunteerism, and strengthening social ties in Richmond neighborhoods. The grant funds a collaboration with the Richmond Neighborhood Coordinating Council to conduct surveys and workshops and implement over 80 neighborhood and multi-neighborhood projects through January 2026.
