This month is an opportunity for residents to learn about and appreciate the diversity, resilience, and achievements of AANHPI individuals and families. The City of Richmond is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that promotes equity and combats hate, intolerance, and violence.

Local organizations like the Asian Pacific Environmental Network (APEN) play a crucial role in this effort. APEN works to build the leadership of Asian immigrant and refugee communities, advocating for environmental justice and supporting the health and well- being of Richmond residents.

We hope the community was able to participate in events that honor the cultural heritage of AANHPI communities and support efforts to build a more inclusive and respectful society.
