AGENDA
REPORT

DISCUSSION:
In 2015, the Public Works Department leased storage space for equipment at 2801 Giant Road. The proximity to the Hilltop District, greatly improved the efficiency of the Parks & Landscaping Division reducing the travel time associated with transporting equipment from the Parks Yard on Leona Avenue to the Hilltop area, enabling City staff to spend more time in the field.
In April 2019, Parks Operations had to vacate the office trailer in the parking lot at Hilltop Mall. Parks Operations sought additional space and now occupy two office trailers at the storage yard at 2801 Giant Road. City staff is seeking approval to continue with the month-to-month lease agreement. The new monthly payment for this lease will be $2,810.54 per month, for the next fiscal year, which includes equipment storage space and two office trailers. This represents a 4 percent increase compared to the previous year. The expense will be paid from Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Hilltop Maintenance District Operational Fund.
City staff recommends approval of seventh amendment lease agreement.
