DISCUSSION:
The Office of Neighborhood Safety seeks approval to amend the contract with Jason Corburn to continue providing data services and management to the Office of Neighborhood Safety.
On June 21, 2022, City staff recommended, and the City Council approved a contract with Jason Corburn to develop a client case-management database that provides for data collection support, maintenance, training, analysis, and reporting for the Office of Neighborhood Safety. The contract was for two years with a term from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024, and a payment limit of $40,000.
The City is seeking to approve the first contract amendment with Jason Corburn. The Office of Neighborhood Safety has undergone significant expansion in terms of both staff and data input. This contract extension reflects changes in data storage and processing costs and the addition of a new data visualization tool built exclusively for the Office of Neighborhood Safety. The amendment extends the contract through June 30, 2026, and increases the contract amount by $90,000, so as not to exceed the total contract limit of $130,000.
