Golf Program
FINANCIAL IMPACT: These actions do not create any direct cost or liability to the City’s General Fund. The actions contemplated here would generate a one-time grant that does not have to be repaid. These funds would be administered by
Community Services-Recreation in accordance with the
Sistas On The Links Golf Club rules and regulations.
Community Services-Recreation will adjust its budget
accordingly (10651051-337373-25G13 and 10651051-
400280-25G13).

ISSUE:
Staff is requesting City Council adopt a resolution to
accept and appropriate grant funds in the amount of
$3,500 from the Sistas On The Links Golf Club for
summer youth golf program.

The Links Golf Club for a summer youth golf program –

DISCUSSION:
Community Services-Recreation has held Summer Sports Camps at the Martin Luther King Baseball Field for the past six years. The Summer Sports Camp program includes tennis, soccer, and basketball.
This year, we received a donation in the amount of $3,500 from the Sistas On the Links Golf Club to include a golf program for the youth as part of the Summer Sports Camp.
This 4-week Youth Summer Sports Program serves about 80 kids in the age group 8-12 years. The kids learn how to lead active and healthy lifestyles while playing sports. Golf will be an additional sport where the kids can learn to play during the Youth Summer Sports Program.
City staff is requesting City Council adopt a resolution to accept and appropriate the grant funds and adjust the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 revenues and expenditures by $3,500.
