Karlyn Neel applying for a vacant seat on the Design
Review Board
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPOINT Karlyn Neel to the Design Review Board, filling a vacant position, term expires March 17, 2026 - Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo Martinez 510-620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Karlyn Neel, with nearly three decades in design and a previous member of the Design Review Board, is applying again. She holds a BS in Political Science and a Graphic Design Certificate from UC Berkeley.
Karlyn is passionate about architecture, preservation, and community spaces. She aims to leverage her expertise to give back to the community and make great design accessible to all. Her experience and dedication make her a strong candidate for the Design Review Board.
