STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
The Richmond City Council currently meets every first,
third, and fourth Tuesday of each month unless special
exceptions are indicated within the Charter, Council
Rules and Procedures, or approved by the City Council.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPROVE the cancellation of the September 17 and
November 5, 2024, Regular City Council meetings - City
Clerk’s Office (Pamela Christian 510-620-6513).
DISCUSSION:
The Richmond City Council has regularly scheduled meetings every first, third, and fourth Tuesday of every month unless exceptions are indicated within the Charter, Council Rules and Procedures, or approved by the City Council.
With approval of this item, the regular meetings scheduled for Tuesday, September 17 and November 5, 2024, will be cancelled. The cancellation of the Tuesday, September 17, 2024, meeting avoids holding four consecutive meetings. The AGENDA

Council Rules and Procedures state that “Any future regular or special meeting may be canceled by a vote of a majority of the members of the City Council during a regular or special meeting.”
