STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Lorene Holmes Dees is applying for an unexpired term
on the Commission on Aging and the Mayor’s Office is
recommending appointment of Ms. Dees to this
commission.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPOINT Lorene Holmes Dees to the Commission on
Aging with an unexpired term that ends May 19, 2026 –
Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo Martinez 510-620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Lorene Holmes Dees brings three decades of educational experience that will enable her to disseminate information detailing services and other activities to keep AGENDA

Richmond’s senior population informed of resources available to them. Lorene will also be able to use knowledge gained by being a member of both the Pinole and Berkeley Senior Centers to bring new ideas and different viewpoints to the Commission on Aging.
