HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held before the Richmond Housing Authority (RHA) Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 6:25 PM in the City Council Chambers, 440 Civic Center Plaza, 1st Floor, Richmond, California, 94804. The Board of Commissioners will receive public comment on the following matter:
The 2024 Annual Public Housing Agency Plan (2024 Annual PHA Plan), which includes goals and objectives for the Housing Authority’s future involvement in the provision of affordable housing in Richmond, through its Public Housing developments. The 2024 Annual PHA Plan will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) after it is adopted by the RHA Board of Commissioners following the Public Hearing.
All interested people may appear and be heard.
Public notice of the 45-day public review period to consider the 2024 Annual PHA Plan was posted on the RHA Website August 29, 2024. Initial discussions of the 2024 Annual PHA Plan commenced at the Housing Advisory Commission (HAC) Meeting held on March 11, 2024, comments were solicited. A public notice in the local newspaper (West County Times) was posted on September 2, 2024. A webpage dedicated to the 2024 Annual PHA Plan was created on the RHA website to give background information on the plans development and ways for the public to provide feedback:

A copy of the draft 2024 Annual PHA Plan will be available for public inspection at the RHA Administrative Offices (450 Civic Center Plaza, 2nd floor, Richmond CA 94804) during regular working hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This Public Hearing is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as part of the Quality Housing and Work responsibility Act of 1998.
