November 19, 2024
On Veterans Day 2024, we honor the Veterans Resource Program (VRP) and many Richmond residents and employees who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
Rhonda F. Harris, a California State Army Military Reserve Sergeant, founded the VRP in 2011 in honor of her late father, Harry L. Williams, a wounded Korean War Army Veteran. The VRP assists veterans with housing, applying for benefits, and higher educational opportunities to help them transition back into society through gainful employment.
