we do not meet in August so a few other months

City of Chowchilla 2
Regular meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of
each month
City of Clayton 2 Two regular meetings per month
City of Danville 2
We have 2 regular meetings (evening) and 1 study
session (morning). Those are the regularly
scheduled meetings on the calendar.
City of El Cerrito 2
City of Fowler 2 The first and third Tuesdays per month City of Hercules 2
Two per month- With, August, December and
November being the exception. We only hold 1
approved meeting during these months.
City of Lafayette 2
Lafayette has two regular meetings per month. We
try to have only one meeting in August and
December.
City of Laguna Beach 2
City of Lake Elsinore 2 Two council meetings per month.
City of Live Oak 2
1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month unless the
meeting falls on a holiday
City of Livermore 2
We hold 2, the second and fourth Monday. On
occasion we will have a Special Meeting
City of Los Banos 2 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month City of Luguna Hill 2
We hold 2 a month and the second one is subject
to cancellation if there are not sufficient items for
the agenda.

1st and 3rd Wednesday - This year we consistently
had double meetings each day, with a study
session or closed session preceding the Regular
meeting. There has been a lot of chatter of
scheduling additional meetings off schedule as
there’s so much coming through and not enough
time with 2 Wednesdays
City of Montebello 2
Two meetings per month. It is the second and
fourth Wednesday of the month
City of Monterey 2
We have two regular meetings per month, and 10
months out of the year there is also one special
meeting per month. Then, of course, occasionally
special meetings must be added in some kind of
urgent scenario.
City of Napa 2
City of Napa meets regularly twice a month,
however, our Charter and Code state “shall meet
regularly at least once a month.” So we have some
flexibility if need be.
City of Newark 2
City of Orinda 2
City of Pacific Grove 2
The first and third Wednesdays (two each month),
with the exception of January due to the holidays.
This year (new Mayor), we are leaving July open all
month for vacations!
City of Paso Robles 2
Two regular meetings a month on the first and third
Tuesdays. We usually only have one meeting in
July and we will occasionally cancel the meeting
the week of the Cal Cities Annual Conference if a
majority of our councilmembers will be attending
City of Pinole 2 Two per month

City of San Bruno 2
2 regular meetings a month. Every 2nd and 4th

City of San Carlos 2
city council meets twice a month and typically takes
off 2 meetings in the summer and 1 meeting in
December
City of San Gabriel 2
City of San Juan Capistrano 2
We hold 2 meetings monthly as part of our regular
schedule
City of San Leandro 2
1st and third Mondays. on the second Monday of
each month we hold a work session, which is for
presentations, no action is taken at those meetings
City of San Pablo 2 Two meetings per month
City of Santa Ana 2
Two meetings per month per its adopted Rules and
Procedures Resolution. Special meetings can be
called as needed and Council adopts an annual
calendar of meetings each November, during which
they often cancel several regularly-scheduled
meetings, resulting in some months having only
one meeting.
City of Seal Beach 2
Two meetings per month, with the exception of
July, August, November & December – one
meeting only

We are holding 20 in 2025. We aggressively
support a life/work balance, so staff don’t get
burned out
City of Stanton 2
Two meetings each month, except for the month of
December in which we only hold one meeting.
Scheduled: 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month
except for the 4th Tuesday in December
City of Thousand Oaks 2 Thousand Oaks, we have two meetings a month City of Torrance 2
We used to meet every week, now we meet twice a
month. Once in a while, an additional meeting will
be added, however, we are mostly twice a month.
City of Union City 2 Two meetings per month
City of Upland 2
Two council meetings per month. The second
meeting in August and December is permanently
canceled by resolution
City of Vacaville 2 Two regular meetings per month
City of Vallejo 2
Per our charter, we are required to hold 40
meetings per year and at least 2 per month. This
can include both regular and special meetings. I
believe by end of this year, we will have held 23
regular meetings and a large number of special to
put our total close to 50 meetings for the year.
City of Victorville 2 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.

The Town of San Anselmo 2
During July, August, November and December only
one (1) meeting. We are a small jurisdiction of
13,000 resident
Town of Yountsville 2
Two per month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each
month
City of Concord 3
Three regular meetings per month. Dark in July –
two meetings in November, December, and August
City of Fremont 3
The first three Tuesdays of each month. However,
they do not meeting in August.
